FOOTHILL FORGES NEW RELATIONSHIPS AND ACQUIRES NEW PROGRAMMING
(New York – February 9, 2010): Foothill Entertainment, Inc.’s Chairman, Gregory B. Payne, announced today that the Santa Barbara-based company has inked an exclusive distribution agreement with France’s Toon Factory, as well as acquired rights to an Irish game show format from renowned company, Screentime Shinawil of Ireland.
The deal, which is a first in France for Foothill, grants the Santa Barbara-based company exclusive representation in North America and Australia for Toon Factory’s hot new series Samson & Neon, which recently launched on France 3 to great ratings success, as well as three of their popular series: Brady’s Beasts, Kid Clones and Franky Snow. Chairman Gregory B. Payne stated, “This arrangement with Toon Factory is an important milestone for us. It gives us a foothold in the all-important French animation market.” Foothill will be launching these delightful programs at the KidScreen Summit and will also showcase them on KidScreen’s innovative new screening service, KidScreen Connect, along with some of Foothill’s other featured series including Biker Mice from Mars, Toy Warrior and classics Little Monsters and Eddy & the Bear.
Foothill will also be debuting an engaging kids game show format called Test The Teachers. This series hails from Screentime Shinawil of Ireland, the award-winning format producer of the Irish versions of The Apprentice, Popstars and Dragons Den. “We are thrilled to be representing this company’s hugely entertaining format,” says Jo Kavanagh-Payne, President of Foothill. “We look forward to bringing this uniquely Irish format to a global audience.” When students from your school get a chance to test a rival school’s teachers on everything from their musical prowess and current events to the lyrics of the latest Miley Cyrus song, the tables have truly turned! A fun show for the whole family, this format has both local and international appeal.
Also at KidScreen, the Company will be revealing new development on their irreverent kids property inspired by the bestselling HarperCollins book series, GUNK Aliens. They will also be announcing that the adventure-packed Raz & Benny will also be available in 3D!
