Foothill Announces Deal To Bring Animated Classic "Rarg" To Home Video

March, 2008 - Santa Barbara, CA: Santa Barbara based Foothill Entertainment, Inc. announces a breakthrough video license agreement with one of the UK's leading independent producers and distributors of special programming, IMC Vision. The deal brings RARG, the delightful BAFTA nominated classic from UK animation house Collingwood O'Hare Entertainment, to DVD for the first time ever! The release also marks the 20th anniversary of the first collaboration between director, Tony Collingwood and producer, Christopher O'Hare, which launched their studio in 1988.

RARG is a wondrous fantasy world where the population thrives on making exciting new discoveries; and everyone is very, very, happy. Until one day, a truly astonishing discovery is made where the Rargians realize that they are just a dream within the sleeping mind of a man named Edwin Barnes. Preventing Edwin from waking up when his alarm clock rings, and potentially destroying their entire existence, takes all of the Rargian knowledge and ingenuity. Narrated by the legendary Sir Nigel Hawthorne (The Madness of King George, Yes Minister, Amistad, Gandhi), RARG is a beautifully animated fantasy, with a surprising twist that will delight viewers of all ages.

Written, directed and animated by Tony Collingwood during his time at the UK's National Film and Television School, RARG was first broadcast on the UK's Channel Four. The whimsical half-hour special has been re-mastered into a widescreen format from its original production and will be available March 2008.
