Foothill Launches New Programming at MIP-TV 2008

(Cannes - April, 2008) Santa Barbara based Foothill Entertainment, Inc. arrives in Cannes for MIP-TV 2008 with three delightful new children's shows, exciting new development on two highly anticipated series and new sales with key international channels. The Company also announced a major new deal for a well-loved classic animation special.

The newest addition to the Foothill slate is the animated classic, Zot the Dog, an adorable story of two friends sharing humorous and zany adventures together. Adapted from Ivan Jones' best-selling books and originally produced as a 13 episode animated series for the UK's ITV network, Zot the Dog tells the tale of Zot, a good hearted, fun loving but rather bouncy dog and his best pal Clive. Together they embark on many adventures in the countryside as they discover a wonderful, uncomplicated world where all of the animals talk... except Zot, who doesn't need to! "This series is loved by audiences of all ages and we are thrilled to add it to our catalogue", says Jo Kavanagh-Payne, President of Foothill. "There's an innocence and similarity between Zot and Clive that can only be appreciated by a child but will have parents laughing too!"

Continuing on a wave of success started at MIPCOM Junior 2007, Foothill also brings the delightful development project, Boy and the Dinosaur, to MIP. This CGI series was among the most viewed programs at MIPCOM Junior, where it ranked No. 17 against hundreds of other top quality shows. Boy and the Dinosaur tells the story of a boy who makes a wish on a shooting star one night, while playing with his toy dinosaur. When the boy wakes in the morning, the dinosaur he dreamed of has followed him back through time and space to come alive.

Created by Jason Harding and to be executive produced by Splash! Productions, Boy and the Dinosaur is a story of love and friendship between an unlikely pair. "We are very excited to be a part of a program which so many people enjoyed at MIPCOM Junior," says Pat Ryan, Executive Vice President of Sales at Foothill. "This series is both warm-hearted and adventurous and we're really looking forward to helping with its development and production."

Rounding out Foothill's new program slate is Big Top Island (26 x 11'), which is also from Splash! Productions. Out on Big Top Island is the Big Top School, which is run by the island's resident Monkey Troupe 'The Gomez Brothers'. Unfortunately, while the Gomez's are excellent performers, they are terrible teachers as they continuously run amuck and shatter the island's tranquility each week with a new arriving class of clumsy novice acts. Big Top Island is one slapstick comedy disaster after the other! This new series will be ready for delivery in Fall 2008.

Pre-production continues on the phuuz entertainment created pre-school series, Iconicles. Commissioned by BBC/CBeebies for 2009, this innovative show will feature truly iconic designs in an interactive variety show type format. Co-produced with Create Media Ventures in the UK, the show promises to be a groundbreaking series for the 4 to 6 year old viewer. Hosted by the genial live action host, Nat, the Iconicles animated antics, songs and games will be wonderfully unique for this demographic. Pre-sale territories are still available.

Foothill will also be seeking to close a major partnership arrangement at MIP-TV for its family favorite property based on the world renowned arcade game, Whac-A-Mole. Conceived of as two separate series, a kid's comedy adventure series as well as an on-line/TV game show for the whole family, Foothill will be following up on the significant interest gained at MIPCOM 2007.

Foothill also announced a string of deals for several properties in key international territories. The Company closed sales for the charming animated movie, Kiddo the Super Truck with South Africa's SABC, RTP Portugal and RTV Slovenia, while the live action dance movie Hip Hop Kidz was sold to RAISAT for Italy. France's TF1 recently acquired the classic Little Monsters as did Channel 4 Finland. Also, a deal for Foothill's animated movie Toy Warrior was just closed with Canal J in France and with DigiTurk for Turkey. Last but not least, the perennial favorite, Microscopic Milton , was licensed to Disney Spain, Canal + in Poland and RTV Slovenia.

Foothill also recently announced a breakthrough video license agreement with one of the UK's leading independent producers and distributors of special programming, IMC Vision. The deal brings Rarg , the enchanting BAFTA nominated classic from UK animation house Collingwood O'Hare Entertainment, to DVD for the very first time. The release also marks the 20th anniversary of the first collaboration between director, Tony Collingwood and producer, Christopher O'Hare, which launched their studio in 1988. The whimsical half-hour special has been re-mastered into a widescreen format from its original production and was just released in the UK, March 2008. With worldwide rights, Foothill will be looking to close additional deals in other territories at MIP 2008.

Recently acquired last year and a lovable live action favorite, Puppy Plays has recently premiered on HBO Family and has also been released on DVD in the USA to much success. Puppy Plays are fun filled adventures of learning and growing, told through the eyes of an adorable puppy.

Foothill Chairman Gregory Payne states, "We have so many good projects to talk to people about at this MIP, it is destined to be one of our busiest markets yet."
