FOOTHILL LANDS AT MIPCOM JR. FOR THE FIRST TIME

(Cannes--October 15) Santa Barbara, California- based Foothill Entertainment, Inc. comes to Cannes this year as a first time participant at MIPCOM Junior. Long an attendee at MIPCOM, the Company elected to show at the annual kids programming event this season because of a marked increase in its offerings of completed programming.

Foothill will be showcasing the delightful live action pre-school series from the award winning production team at New Zealand's Papageno Films, The Dress Up Box (52 x 5').   A magical world filled with music and song, this series for the 2 to 7 year old audience, recognizes that children love to dress-up and act out stories. It is this simple fact on which this multi award-winning series is based.   Papageno producer Felicity Williams will be attending the market for the first time as well.   An award-winning producer in her own right as well as author, educator and poet, Williams has produced four seasons of The Dress Up Box for TV3 in New Zealand and now, along with distributor Foothill, is bringing this enchanting live action series to the global marketplace.   Foothill has already closed deals for video in the United States and is in advanced negotiations with licensees in other major territories.

Foothill will also be highlighting the fast-paced and thrilling animated movie, Toy Warrior (1x76').   In 2D/3D long form programme, the Land of Toys is a world of pure imagination, ruled by the popular doll, Princess Sherbet, but when the mysterious Dark One threatens Sherbet's toy kingdom, she turns to the spunky sixth-grader, Jinoo, who is suddenly transported to the Land of Toys to become the powerful Toy Warrior !    Princess Sherbet and Jinoo chase the dark forces across the landscape of imagination and out of the Land of Toys.   Having already completed sales to Jetix in the US and Cartoon Network UK, Foothill will be looking to close additional sales during the market.

The Company is also pleased to bring My Little Fox to the market.   A brand new 26 half hour animated series from Seoul Movie, this delightful programme features a n angel banished to Earth as a cute fox to search for a lost Wishing Book.   She gets help from a young boy who becomes her friend while they both try to stay one step ahead of the evil Black Fox who wants to steal the magical book away. Targeting the 6 to 10 year old audience, this classical style 2D series is new to the global marketplace and features heart-warming, family oriented themes.

Says Foothill President, Jo Kavanagh-Payne, "We are delighted to be able to participate in the MIPCOM Junior screenings this year.   In previous years, the timing just was not right and, while strong, our programme mix was not conducive to it.   Thankfully, this year, with our fabulously talented producers at Papageno, Felicity Williams and Sue Wolfendon, and their unique series The Dress Up Box , we knew we had a very special completed series to offer the buyers."

Also being offered at MIPCOM Junior are three classic animated series, Barney , Animal Stories .   and a cult favorite, Batfink . Although all three offerings appeal to both boys and girls, Barney and Animal Stories are proven hits with the pre-school audience and Batfink 's target audience is 8 to 12 years old.
