My Momtourage & Me Series on Offer at MIPCOM

CANNES, October 7: At MIPCOM, Foothill Entertainment and Australian illustrator and writer Kyla May will look for presale and co-production partners for the series My Momtourage & Me, which chronicles the adventures of a girl as she copes with the crazy lifestyle of her pop-star mother.

The 26 25-minute episodes of the series follow Harper as members of her famous mother's entourage help raise her. Although Harper's mother loves the spotlight and fan adulation, she does try to raise Harper the best way she can. And while most young girls desire the celebrity lifestyle, all Harper wants is a normal life.

The series is created by May, whose credits include Kyla May Miss.Behaves, Smirk, Flea-Bag & Friends and G2G: Got to Go, which is in its first season on Channel Nine in Australia with plans for a live-action television movie.

Based in Santa Barbara, Foothill Entertainment was founded in September 2000 by former DIC Entertainment executive VP of business and legal affairs, Gregory Payne, and Jo Kavanagh-Payne, former Link Television Entertainment senior VP of U.S. operations. It specializes in the co-development and distribution of children's and family entertainment programming.

"I am really excited to be working with Jo (Kavanagh-Payne) and Greg (Payne) at Foothill," May said. "Since My Momtourage & Me kind of mirrors the Hollywood lifestyle, teaming with a California-based company is a perfect fit."

"This stylish and funny series offers a great new perspective on the so-called celebrity lifestyle and how ordinary kids cope with having a not-so-ordinary parent," said Kavanagh-Payne, the president of Foothill. "Being a celebrity kid isn't all it's cracked up to be because growing up still has its challenges, no matter who you are."
