A fast-paced review of the best of the best in visual effects
from movies and TV in 2004, featuring Tom Hanks, Robert Zemeckis
and a host of the greatest visual effects makers from around
the world. Who did it, how they did it and how they
interfaced with actors like Tom Hanks for Polar Express and
Alfred Molina for Spiderman. Volume 1 will
feature interviews with these wizards, footage of how their
effects were built, and clips of the finished results. It
will also feature scenes from the Visual Effects Society’s “quirky” annual
Hollywood awards show, including the Society’s 2005
Lifetime Tribute Award given to Robert Zemeckis by international
superstar Tom Hanks. Rich in info, visuals, movie clips
and personalities, this one-hour show is bound to be an audience
pleaser for kids and grown-ups alike.
