FOOTHILL AND CREATE TEAM ON KIDS’ SHOWS

Santa Barbara-based Foothill Entertainment has teamed up with Create Media Ventures to develop and produce two new children's properties from the US and New Zealand. Under the deal, Create has come on-board LA-based Phuuz Entertainment's pre-school property Iconicles and the girl-led property Tutu Lulu from New Zealand's Papageno Productions. Iconicles is being developed in conjunction with BBC Worldwide and has picked up significant interest from a major US network, while Tutu Lulu has been the recipient of several development grants in New Zealand. Foothill is also bringing two completed pilots from UK animation producer Phew!! to MipTV and will be looking to close co-production deals on both properties. The pilot of pre-school series Snapper was produced by Malaysian CGI studio POV/Fat Lizard, which has also lined up significant production financing from Malaysia. 3D animated series Gododo, meanwhile, is being produced by DQ Entertainment in India.
