FOOTHILL ENTERTAINMENT RE-UP’S WITH COLLINGWOOD O’HARE PRODUCTIONS

(Santa Barbara, CA - July, 2009): Solidifying its status as a provider of high-quality children’s and family programming, Foothill Entertainment is proud to announce that it has renewed its contract with one of Europe’s leading animation studios, Collingwood O’Hare Productions. The deal includes the delightful series Animal Stories, Eddy & the Bear and Rarg, which are some of the most beloved properties in animation. For over 20 years, Collingwood O’Hare has produced top quality, award-winning animation series and specials. Animal Stories, which is a BAFTA award-winning series, takes a humorous look at the lives, loves and concerns of the animal kingdom, viewed from a child’s perspective. Also a BAFTA winner, Eddy & the Bear is based on the much-loved characters created in Jez Alborough's best-selling children's books and is the continuing story of a little boy's first ever friendship - with a ten foot tall, talking bear! The classic, multi-award winning success, Rarg is a beautifully animated world of discovery and fantasy that will surprise and delight people of all ages. “Rarg is the very first collaboration between Tony Collingwood and Chris O’Hare that launched the company”, says Jo Kavanagh-Payne, President of Foothill. “We are truly delighted to be representing this prestigious property along with the other two incredible works by this esteemed company”. Rarg was released on DVD last year for the first time ever in the UK in a breakthrough license agreement between Foothill and IMC Vision, one of the UK’s leading independent producers and distributors of special programming. “Our shows could not be in better hands,” says writer/director Tony Collingwood. “Thanks to Foothill a new generation of children are enjoying our stories.
