Foothill Entertainment Secures Home Video Deal with Shout! Factory

SANTA BARBARA, March 26: Foothill Entertainment has licensed Batfink and Milton the Monster, two classic TV series produced by Hal Seeger Productions, to retro-pop culture entertainment company Shout! Factory for home video distribution in the U.S. and Canada. The 100 five-minute episode series Batfink is currently airing on Cartoon Network's Boomerang in the U.S., the BBC in the U.K. and in dozens of countries worldwide. The series, which first aired in U.S. syndication in 1967, features a character named Batfink, who, along with his trustworthy assistant and martial arts expert, Karate, continually battle to free the world from arch villains such as Hugo a Go Go, Gluey Louie and the Skinny Minnie Gang, using supersonic sonar-radar and wings of steel. Milton the Monster, which debuted on ABC in 1965, was Seeger's first animated cartoon for network television. The cartoon features a character named Milton, the creation of Professor Weirdo and Count Kook. He was accidentally given too much tenderness and became a loveable and caring monster, which was the opposite of what the Professor and Count had intended. Milton is joined by other characters such as Heebie and Jeebie, Fearless Fly, Flukey Luke and Stuffy Durma. "We are thrilled to have the Shout! Factory as our video partner on these two classic series," stated Jo Kavanagh-Payne, the president of Foothill Entertainment. "They are truly the gold standard in marketing retro properties. It is particularly exciting to have these wonderful properties from the late Hal Seeger available on DVD for the first time in the U.S. and Canada. We feel very honored to be able to represent them."
