SANTA BARBARA: Foothill Entertainment and its London affiliate, Foothill Europe, are heading to MIPCOM to present buyers with the tween-targeted sports docu-reality series My Side of the Sky as part of a continuing relationship with Content Media.
The live-action series is done in cinema verité style. The show follows six students as they test their limits at Windells Academy, a school where skaters, skiers and snowboarders can come to live, learn and ride on the same turf that launched the likes of Shaun White, Nick Goepper and Ryan Sheckler.
“This is an exciting series for tweens worldwide with its sports oriented focus,” said Elizabeth Stephens, Foothill’s VP of sales and development. “When you combine the typical high school setting with elite athletes, you really have a compelling, must-see program.”
The reality documentary series is part of Foothill’s continuing relationship with Content Media. Foothill has been renewed for an additional term to represent Content’s 1,600 episode live-action and animation children’s catalogue, featuring such hits as Young Dracula, Even Stevens, The Cut and newly acquired Stepping Up, which aired on the BBC.
