Foothill Takes Friend to Cannes
California-based content developer and distributor Foothill Entertainment is flying to Cannes next week with new animated and live-action properties.
Foothill has secured the North American and Australian distribution rights to My Friend Grompf (52x13'/26x26') from Paris-based animation producer Toon Factory. Broadcast rights are available in these territories.
Worldwide rights are available for Boy & the Dinosaur (52x11') from Imaginasaurus, which has gone into production for a summer 2011 delivery. The show centres on the relationship between a small boy and his playful dinosaur.
Worldwide rights including local production are also available for turn-the-tables gameshow Test the Teachers (20x25'). The second season is currently in production by Ireland's Screentime ShinAwiL (The Apprentice, Dragons' Den and Popstars) for pubcaster RTE.
Foothill also has distribution rights to comedy series Raz & Benny in French-speaking territories.
At Mipcom, Foothill will be announcing investment partners for its children's property Gunk Aliens. In addition, it will be bringing other Toon Factory programmes, which include Samson & Neon, Brady’s Beasts, Franky Snow and Kid Clones.
