MIPCOM AND MIPCOM JUNIOR 2010 BRING NEWS AND CELEBRATION FOR FOOTHILL

(Santa Barbara — 2010 October) Foothill Entertainment is attending this year’s MIPCOM Junior and MIPCOM markets with much to celebrate, including its 10-year Company anniversary and major advancements on several shows in their catalogue. The Santa Barbara based company will be announcing new investment partners, exciting development advances, and the addition of new shows to its portfolio. Foothill is looking to have its best MIPCOM market yet. Foothill will be announcing investment partners for its irreverent children’s property, GUNK Aliens at MIPCOM. In addition, the Company has also closed its exclusive option with HarperCollins Children’s books for the rights to this spectacular series, based on the best-selling books by Jonny Moon. With its new financing partners on board, Foothill will take GUNK Aliensto its next stages, which include a multi-day creative workshop, with new creative materials to roll out shortly. This hilarious story features a rag-tag team of young, suburban sleuths recruited by a secret agency to save the planet from a series of plots hatched by the nefarious (and generally repulsive) GUNK Aliens. It’s a wacky show with gross elements (not a gross show with wacky elements!) that will excite the senses, tickle the imagination and gross out everyone in the process!! In other important development news, Foothill’s adventurous Raz & Benny series has taken an enterprising step as the Company announces that it has partnered with France’s Toon Factory for French-speaking territories and will be looking for further international co-production partners at MIPCOM. The series will also be part of the new investment slate to be announced at the market. Creatively, the finishing touches are being completed on the new Stereoscopic 3D trailer. Raz & Benny is the ultimate buddy comedy. Whether posing as international spies or high-speed race car drivers, Raz and Benny are always exploring and having fun. This property is aimed at the 6-9 year old audience, but can be enjoyed by the whole family. Foothill also has exciting news about its highly anticipated series, My Momtourage and Me, by bringing renowned Canadian writer, Maddy Lambur, on board. As author of the well-received mother-daughter memoir,Grabbing at Water, Lambur will provide an authoritative and insightful ‘voice’ for the two main characters, Coco and her mother Eva. My Momtourage and Me focuses on the relationship between a 14-year old Coco and her bigger-than-life, pop star Mom, Eva “the Diva” Divine. Living in her mother’s “world of entertainment”, Coco truly wants more as she strives to have a normal life and a normal Mom. This series is created by acclaimed author/illustrator, Kyla May (G2G; Miss. Behaves). Adding to their completed slate and set to roll out at MIPCOM Junior this year, Foothill is thrilled to announce that it will be representing Toon Factory's wildly entertaining new series, My Friend Grompf. North American and Australian rights are available for this hot new property premiering on France 3. In addition, Foothill will also bring its other Toon Factory programmes to MIPCOM, which include Samson & Neon, Brady’s Beasts, Franky Snow, and Kid Clones. Also to be seen at MIPCOM Junior is Foothill’s charming series from Imaginasaurus, Ltd., Boy and the Dinosaur, which is in production for Summer 2011 delivery. This delightful series centers on the relationship between a small boy and his playful dinosaur. As the boy plays with a toy dinosaur in his bedroom one night he sees a shooting star. Wishing that he had a real dinosaur, the boy dreams about this dinosaur one magical night. When he wakes in the morning, the dinosaur he dreamed of has followed him through time and space! Delighted that his new pal has come to stay, Boy and the Dinosaur become lifelong friends exploring childhood together. Worldwide rights are available. The Company is also showing, at the MIPCOM Junior screenings, an exciting game show series that combines teachers and students in a ‘turn-the-tables’ game show. Test the Teachers, already in its second season, is a unique inter-school series format where students come up with questions, tasks and challenges to Test the Teachers from their rival schools. This A+, can't-miss, young people's entertainment series will challenge and engage the whole family. Worldwide media rights, including formats, are available for this series being produced by award-winning Irish producer, Screentime Shiniwal for RTE, Eire. “We have so many good projects to show people this year!” said Foothill President, Jo Kavanagh-Payne. “We are really looking forward to being in Cannes and talking to people about these exciting new properties and all the good things happening for Foothill.
